Job search
Where we look, and where we refuse to.
Most tools in this category say they search LinkedIn and Indeed. Almost none of them has permission to. We would rather show you a shorter list you can check than a longer one that stops working the day somebody sends a letter.
What we read
Company job boards, at the source. Most careers pages are one of these systems with the company’s logo on top, and each publishes that company’s openings for reading. You pick the companies; we watch their boards and score every opening against the facts you have verified.
- GreenhouseThe slug in boards.greenhouse.io/<slug> or job-boards.greenhouse.io/<slug>
- LeverThe slug in jobs.lever.co/<slug>
- AshbyThe slug in jobs.ashbyhq.com/<slug>
- SmartRecruitersThe company name in jobs.smartrecruiters.com/<Company>, capitals and all
- WorkableThe slug in apply.workable.com/<slug>
- Remote OKA keyword rather than a company — this one is an aggregator
Reading a company’s own board often means seeing a role before it reaches an aggregator. Hours or days, usually, not weeks — and some companies never syndicate at all. We are not going to tell you it is a different market.
What we refuse, and why
LinkedIn
Their terms forbid automated collection, they detect and block it, and they litigate. Reading it would mean breaking an agreement and defeating a bot check, and this product promises to do neither.
Indeed
Automated collection is against their terms, and the public job-search API they once offered is gone. What remains is partner access for employers and applicant tracking vendors, which we are not.
Google for Jobs
Not a source. It is a search feature that indexes job data companies publish on their own careers pages. There is nothing to query — but that same published data is what makes company boards worth reading directly.
Remotive
Their terms say plainly that showing their jobs to collect signups is a breach, which is exactly what a product with an account in front of it does. Their compliant tier starts at $5,000 a month.
Anything behind a login or a bot check
If a site asks software not to read it, we do not read it. When you open a posting in your own browser and use the capture button, that is you reading a page you opened, which is a different thing entirely.
What to do about a posting we cannot reach
Open it yourself and use the capture button. You reading a page in your own browser is not a crawler, and nothing about that is a grey area. The posting comes in, gets analysed, and your resume can be tailored to it exactly as if we had found it.
